Nicole Duerksen, Spanish Media Projects Assistant, explains that audience members often contact them to ask for prayer: for their families, their health, or their financial struggles.
“It means a lot to them to know that people far away in Canada care enough to bring their struggles before God,” says Nicole. “That they are not forgotten and alone.”

Nicole shares that many also carry heavy spiritual burdens. “Latin Americans are often very religious,” she says. “But they have not been taught about a personal relationship with Jesus.”
Lidia Maria, a woman who is divorced and remarried, went to church regularly and confessed her sins. But even so, she felt unforgiven and empty. “Tears come to my eyes as I write this,” she explained, “but I feel that, in God’s eyes, I am a prostitute.”
Lidia Maria believed she was unforgivable for past sins. She asked how she could offend God as little as possible in the future, hoping to balance the scales so she might still get to heaven.
What a precious opportunity to tell Lidia Maria that God, in his infinite mercy, reached out to us and sent his only Son into the world; not to condemn us, but to save us!
And even more precious was the opportunity to pray with Lidia Maria to accept Christ as her Saviour!
Friends, each one of our Spanish media projects exists to share the hope of Christ with people God longs to call His own.
We need your help to keep doing that. Whatever God leads you to give – whether it’s $50, $150, $1,500, or something in between – know that it will be used to keep producing media that will be seen, heard and read throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
Help us share the unconditional love of God with people who – like Lidia Maria – are desperate to hear.
